Lancaster, CA. May 22, 2012 – The Lancaster Performing Arts Center (LPAC) Foundation will begin accepting applications for their 2012-2013 Community Arts Grant Program on May 31, 2012. The grant program, now in its sixteenth year, provides annual production funding to community performing arts organizations.
"Since 1996, the LPAC Foundation has supported local performance groups with the resources they need to continue bringing high quality entertainment and culture to the children, young adults and families of the Antelope Valley. During the 2011-2012 season, we were pleased to be able to assist six local performing arts organizations," stated Lou Bozigian, Foundation Board President.
The Community Arts Grant Program application packets are available through the LPAC Foundation office at Lancaster City Hall, Department of Parks, Recreation and Arts, 44933 Fern Avenue. Eligible applicants must hold and be able to produce certification of a qualified, non-profit status.
Organizations may apply for a maximum of $2,500; however, grant dollars awarded may be less depending on various factors, including, the number of applicants approved for the 2012-2013 funding cycle. The deadline for submittal of completed applications is Thursday, July 26, 2012, with recipients to be announced by September 5, 2012. In addition, the funded programs or projects must be implemented within twelve months of award date.
